Milk chocolate can be a fun flavor for kids, but in the case of Rozsavolgyi Csokolade's Lavender and Star Anise Bar it acts as the creamy canvas for vivid and sophisticated flavors. The milk chocolate gives way to the heady anise flavor, like black licorice but lighter and more delicate. Before the anise becomes too intense it is tempered by the floral sweetness of lavender. Combining such potent flavors could overwhelm the palate, but the creamy milk chocolate sweetens and mixes the flavors in just the right combination. The result is a very sophisticated flavor, unique and distinctive.
Rozsavolgyi Csokolade is a fantastic chocolatier out of Hungary. They source incredibly high quality beans directly from cacao farmers. Many of their bars are just pure high quality dark chocolates, but they have quite a few interesting chocolates with unusual flavors.
