The inspiration for Gourmet Boutique began with a passion for travel. Wandering through charming European boutiques and patisseries, learning from artisans, and savoring the slower rhythms of life sparked a love of culinary storytelling. Returning from these gourmet adventures with trunks full of delicacies—from Salame di Cioccolato to Calissons de Provence and delicately crystallized flowers—ultimately led to the founding of Gourmet Boutique in 2003. Over the past 23 years, that passion for discovery has evolved into a platform dedicated to sharing the stories, traditions, and flavors behind extraordinary foods and the makers who craft them through curated culinary experiences.
Today, Gourmet Boutique specializes in live-hosted, interactive tasting experiences for modern workplaces. Our programs are designed for in-person, virtual, and hybrid teams, making it easy for organizations to bring together colleagues and clients whether they are gathered in one location or joining from across the globe. Participants receive thoughtfully curated tasting selections and are guided by our expert hosts—seasoned culinary educators, sommeliers, and storytellers—through engaging sensory experiences that spark conversation and discovery. Founder Anya Zelfond’s deep passion for health, wellness, and mindful living has inspired a new dimension of Gourmet Boutique’s programming. A dedicated yoga practitioner, Anya became a 200-hour certified yoga teacher and mindfulness coach, bringing a holistic perspective to the company’s experiences. In today’s highly dysregulated world, she and her team are passionate about creating moments of delicious pause and centering within both corporate and private gatherings. This vision led to the development of Chocolate Mindfulness and Corporate Wellness experiences, where guided sensory tasting meets mindfulness practices and thoughtfully curated, clean-ingredient selections. These programs invite participants to slow down, reconnect with their senses, and enjoy a moment of reflection and self-care—adding a meaningful wellness component to Gourmet Boutique’s growing portfolio of engaging team experiences.
