Cote d'Or Chocolate
Côte d'Or leading Belgian confectionery brand was founded in 1883 by Charles Neuhaus. The chosen name was a reference to the origins of cocoa beans. Cote d'Or or Gold Coast refers to the area of contemporary Ghana the source of much of the cacao beans used in chocolate manufacturing. The elephant with an upturned trunk has become one of world's most loved and recognized chocolate brands.
